So today I woke up and realised that I'm having one of those days where I don't have anything to do. Or anything I immediately want to do. I have a backlog of posts that need writing up from my recent trip to Portugal and a couple vegan restaurants I apparently wanna eat at and take pictures of but never post for you guys to see. I also have a mountain of laundry and a million plans I wanna put into action, but I thought I'd take a day to slow down, live in the moment and appreciate the time I've been given. (Never usually that positive but giving it a try lol)
I wanted to punch the Barbican Conservatory for not being open today when I'd already mentally arranged my day to take pictures amongst the cacti so me & Tom sought out other greenery and decided to visit the Kyoto Garden in Holland Park.
In the gardens was a huge pond and waterfall filled with Koi Carp of all colours and sizes, squirrels so confident I thought they would gladly run off with my camera on it's self timer and adorable bonsai trees cleverly planted in the stump of an old tree.
The best thing about this place was the feeling of peace and quiet in an otherwise noisy city. People were just sat drawing, feeding the birds and having lunch just enjoying the atmosphere.
Defo one to visit again.
